From the start the farmer creates his own ecosystem, starting by adding their properties on a GIS-based map. The farmer can then place important infrastructure in the relevant positions, adding assets such as fences, paddocks and livestock onto the system to retain real-time information. With Communication through LoRA systems, the software works hand in hand with other components such as GPS livestock tags, UAV’s, weather stations, cameras, water management systems and other livestock management tools. All these aspects of the precision ag sector allow farming to be more efficient and affordable right from your fingertips. 

Livestock Management

The G Farm livestock management system incorporates GPS animal trackers, animal identification software and tools to effectively manage all aspects of your livestock.  A tag placed on your sheep, goats or cattle, that will record their real-time movements and the ambient temperature, storing and visualizing all the data on your screen. This doesn’t only allow the user to track the current GPS fix of their animal or mobs but, allows you to gather much more crucial data about individual and group animal health and behaviour. The Tracker, working in conjunction with the NLIS system, allows an animal to be identified anywhere on farm, via drone scanning or GPS fixes every hour through LoRa communications, to your online system. This allows the system to assess the animal’s health and status, identify and administer treatments without having to move or shift a whole mob. This is a vital aspect in improving an animal’s growth outcome and improving low stock stress handling techniques.  

Smart Sensors

The IDS Smart sensors are used in conjunction with the Farm Management Suite, to visualise, analyse and control various on farm aspects. Through monitoring your livestock, in conjunction with the various smart sensors offered, it will allow you to automate your management of on farm water, mob and individual animal weighing in paddock, health status and improve low stock stress handling. The sensors are crucial factor to your entire precision agricultural system as they will provide you with enough crucial data, to help you make informed decisions about your enterprise. In turn, creating a more profitable production margin.

Pasture and Paddock

IDS G FARM Animal tracker provides the farmer with an accurate heat map in areas that livestock have grazed, giving him visibility to manage the stocking density in accordance with DSE’s.  The farmer can manage the total process of organizing livestock to make use of pastures.  in accordance with the GFARM Animal Tracker, grazing management of animals on pasture and crops can be used, to ensure that rotational grazing strategies are in place by moving the animals from paddock to paddock without human intervention.  

To help assess the correct times to move animals, the GPS trackers, along with the Satellite paddock dry matter assessment system, will calculate the amount of pasture available for the current stock and suggest when tmove stock to the next paddock once they have finished grazing. This also helps update records and data as to how much paddock area is usable grazing area, how much quality feed there is for maintenance or growth phases of stock and if pasture or management of paddocks can be improved to optimize growth and production.  


IDS G Farm has worked in conjunction with Farm Biosecurity to establish a detailed yet effective biosecurity plan within the system to allow you to protect your livestock and land against potential threats. The software provides a simple and easy plan to be designed which can be shared to employees and management to ensure clear policies and procedures are in place to ensure the longevity of your production system. The software in conjunction with various sensors and trackers used, will allow monitoring of movements on farm and keep track of any potential biosecurity risks.  

Asset Management

The G Farm software manages all on farm assets, from fences, water troughs, gates, equipment, vehicles, buildings, medicine and more. This enables the farmer to fully manage stock of assets on farm and replenish them when needed. Furthermore, decisions can be made on finances, as well as each individual asset can be monitored. This gives a producer the full capability of managing their enterprise online, the future of smart farming.  Monitoring of each individual assets can be done remotely with some assets such as gates being able to be maneuvered from the touch of a button.
